Conversation

Chile or Key Experiences of Latin American Conceptual Art

With Francisco Godoy Vega
16 Jun 2016 | Johann Jacobs Museum

In this conversation with Roger Buergel on occasion of the exhibition Gonzalo Díaz: Terras do sem fim, Francisco Godoy Vega will underline some key experiences of Latin American conceptual art (1960s-1980s), taking the Chilean experience as a case study. He also will discuss briefly some recoveries of those poetic-politic experiences on contemporary exhibitions and their potential to activate a creative imagination of the present.

Francisco Godoy Vega is a Chilean researcher, writer and curator based in Madrid. He is associate professor at the Department of Art History and Theory of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and research fellow at the Exhibition department of the Museo Reina Sofía.
